Forgettable night out in birthday suit

Our client was a gentleman in his early 20’s who was experiencing a period of isolation and loss in his life, and as an escape, he decided to try magic mushrooms for the first time on the night in question. Unfortunately, he experienced an adverse reaction, which led him to being naked and afraid in a popular entertainment precinct which, to this day, he had no idea where has was or how he had come to be there. A young police constable decided to grab our drug impaired client from behind without identifying herself. The miscalculated intervention led to a protracted scuffle, a taser deployment and an attempt by our client to seek refuge inside an Uber parked nearby, to be described by corporate media outlets as a “carjacker” on a “rampage”. Police charged our client with serious offences including attempted stealing of a motor vehicle and assault of a public officer. Whilst our plea offer to the prosecution fell on deaf ears, the submissions and context we presented at sentencing was successful in persuading the Magistrate to impose fines and spent convictions on each of the four charges. More importantly, by the time of sentencing, our client was feeling more optimistic about his future and his mental health had significantly improved.
